When you perform SAP B1 Client installation for SAP Business One, Version for HANA 9.3 or 10.0 in Windows 10, or Windows Server 2012 / 2016 / 2019, and you cannot select “SAP Business One Client” or “SAP Business One Browser Access” component on installation wizard, it’s usually caused by the windows machine cannot access Linux Samba Shared Folder.
By default, the SAP Server component on a Linux machine will create Samba 1.0 based shared folder, and this Samba 1.0 is less secure, so the windows machine will block the access even though the firewall turned off.
To solve this, you can open Powershell using user Administrator in windows machine, and type the command below:
Set-ItemProperty -Path “HKLM:SYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesLanmanWorkstationParameters” -Name “AllowInsecureGuestAuth” -Type DWord -Value 1
After that, you can restart the Windows machine, then the Samba shared folder can be accessed, and you can continue SAP B1 Client installation.
